The sky and the ground are included in separate layers ( behind the airbrushed girl ). This provides a cool " desert " or " far west " look to the illustration.
Some details were rendered by means of 3D software ( the bullets ), and other airbrushed ( the gun's smoke ) or retouched ( the leather boots and bloves, the hat... ) .

This illustration was inspired by films like "Wanted", or "The Matrix", and features rendered elements done with 3D softfware, like the bullet.
Additional layers are used for the background, the curved lines and the gun flare.

The background was made from a picture of actual lava. The girl's skin was texturized with snake scales.

TATTOO

The funniest part of the job is the detailing process (the face, lips, hair, boots ...).
In this case, the tattoo pattern was added in the last moment. I think that it provides a "wild and troublemaker" look to the girl.
